Use Case #1—A Simple Cut of the Sales
Work out of the Zoho CRM data. A salesperson is attached to each invoice. We only pay commission on closed invoices and each sales person gets a percent of the total.

You don’t need anything fancy for this report– no aggregate formulas, no SQL. Just a simple pivot table with a basic formula (3% of the Deal Size). In order to determine know whether you need aggregate formulas Ortiz equal, ask yourself few questions: Are there multiple, potentially complex, joins? Do you need to run if/then calculations?
