Import Tickets to Zoho Desk

Last, you can import data from a spreadsheet to create tickets in desk.

Ideally, you don’t want to do this regularly. Perhaps you import once to throw data from another system into Desk, but then be sure and set up your various channels to be auto-creating tickets.

  • Note that date time fields need to be in this exact format: mm/dd/yyyy h:mm:ss AM/PM
  • For any look up fields (contact, team, owner), you need to put in the ID of the specific record you want to tie it to.
  • The contact ID is not necessary — if you have an email for the ticket, it will associate the ticket to the contact with that specific email address, or it will create a new contact with that email. Likewise, if you leave the team and owner fields blank, the ticket will be unassigned.
  • You can import to any custom fuels that you have created as well. The process for importing tasks, contacts, accounts, etc., is very similar.
