ONLY use line charts when time is on your X-axis! When using categorical variables, it simply doesn’t make sense and you jump to the wrong conclusions.
Also, make sure you are sorting your charts correctly. When using time variables, we want to sort by time, and not by whatever we measure on the y-axis.
