These are very similar to bar charts, but, you simply add another variable in for the “color” and you can see the data composition one layer deeper.
A very common type of stacked bar chart is Deals by Owner (and Stage)—deal count on the y-axis, the owner on the x, and then the stage is represented by colors within the bars. This lets us see the composition of the total deals each salesperson has.
