Creating a Workflow Rule for the Function

  • Save the function before going to Settings > Automation > Workflow Rules
  • Specify a condition that would correctly trigger this function. One option is to condition it on a field update of any one of the Address fields in the Contacts module
  • Once set, we choose our action to be our Custom Function
  • There is an option to write a function straight out of the workflow rules feature, but it is best practice to write and test your function first

Note: Since filming this video, there have been some UI changes made to Workflow Rule setup. If you need to create a workflow rule that triggers on field update, select EDIT > SPECIFIC FIELD > [Desired Field]
