When Should You Delete Fields and When Should You Just Remove Them

Delete if:

1. You’re POSITIVE you won’t need the data (or there was really no data to begin with)
2. You’ve moved the data to another field and confirmed that that migration went properly
3. The fields are muddying up your reports and filters and are confusing users

Hide/Remove if:

1. You’d like the data to still be accessible in reports/exports, but you don’t want to show it
2. You recently made changes to the system, but you want to give users a few months to adopt the new changes before you nuke all of their old data/processes
