I FAR prefer this solution to Layouts. The UX is much cleaner and simpler for users to understand, in my experience.
Business use case:
- Affluence tracks its Customers AND Vendors from the Contacts module
- Rather than creating a new module, create a picklist in the Contacts module for Customer Type
- And don’t even think about creating a new layout. Remember what you learned in the last lesson!
This is potentially better than custom module because of its simplicity.
